From the supplier: The Interactive Multimedia Distribution System (IMDS) project at Indiana University Purdue University (IUPUI) has produced the first interactive multimedia system supporting industrywide delivery, retrievals and authoring of multimedia resources for teaching and learning. Four types of IMDS educational applications are described, which are video-on-demand, multimedia papers, advanced multimedia and classroom teaching applications. The multimedia papers capability is particularly interesting, providing an easy-to-use environment for putting together papers or reports in multimedia format. The IMDS is designed to be flexibly adaptive, accommodating new digital technologies as they become available. The design is especially simple from an application point of view, being based on an assumption that users will not have more than five minutes to learn how to run the system.

IUPUI Students Tell It Like It Is
Jimi Hendrix started his career in Indianapolis at the Slippery Noodle Inn, enroute to Chicago. At IUPUI, you could start your academic career with the same rock n' roll swagger as Hendrix. IUPUI is the university campus of Indiana University and offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees from Indiana University as well as Purdue University.
IUPUI is like an older brother or sister in terms of colleges. The average age of an IUPUI student is 25 years old. Several students are actually married and have established family lives outside of their academics. Therefore, the dating scene might not seem as exciting to younger singletons.
"The guys on campus are mostly too old-but there are a few good selections."
"IUPUI being a commuter college, people often seem to be very distant and reserved toward one another."
What about academic life? Does it make up for the lack of hook-up?
"Most of the classes I took were interesting, but a few of the required classes were as interesting as watching concrete cure."
"I don't find all of my classes are 100 percent interesting, but I think the teachers are making the best out of them."
What's the nightlife like at IUPUI?
Bad news to you partiers out there. IUPUI rarely has parties that include alcohol, or even the night sky. Most parties take place during the day at lunchtime or in the early evening.
"If you want to party, you have to go to a friend's house off campus."
"There really aren't very many parties because this is a commuter campus, and most students live off campus."
Visiting campus isn't enough.
