Answer:Not automatically like you can with a CD, if that's what you mean. But on a vinyl record, the needle moves the same number of grooves every minute (e.g. 33 on an LP), so the time elapsed and time remaining are simply prorportional to the distance the needle has moved inward / still has to move, respetcively. So you could make a good estimate using just a ruler!
