I need a comprehensive answer, about 400 words long. This is part of a projetc assigned to me, and while I've completed most of my projetc, this part still remains, and I am unable to find information about it anywhere on the web. Please help.

Answer:You could go ask your doctor for more professional help/more things you also probably wouldnt find online. But mainly, your better off just googling.

Asperger's Disease?

So I know that people with asperger's have trouble fitting in socially, whichh is totally okay with me, but I mean, I really don't like the personality of someone who has the disease. I don't know if the personality is because of the disease, because then I would feel bad for disliking them. For example, he is rude to otheres, and not like does random rude things when in social situations, but he does meanhearted kinds of things. Also, he takes advantage of people. I don't want to dislike this person for the wrong reason, and I feel even without the disease, they would still be mean-spirited. What do ya'll think?

Answer:I have Aspergers and I can tell you that just like anyone else, it depends on the person as to what they're like. Example: Someone in my hometown is understood to be mentally handicapped, but a woman I once worked at the grocery store with told me she had to avoid him when he came in because he would sexually harass her. It seemed that people kind of shrugged it off because of his disability, but she said the guy was smart enough to know what he could get away with. It sounds like you're having a similar problem. I have social problems myself, but I was raised to be respetcful of otheres and so I try to be. Probably what you need to do is figure out if he's being mean-spirited on purpose. If he is, and he's using his Aspergers as an excuse, than someone needs to talk to him because that's the kind of thing that causes people to misunderstand us. I hope that helps.

What Constitutes Asperger's Disease?

My son is 10. At 4 1/2 he was tested and we were told he was hyperactive and boderline ODD. We have had no furthere testing. His hyperactivity has ceased, however I have noticed that he will go through periods (several weeks at a time) of eyeblinkingor nasal snorting or chest huffing. It is annoying and when I tell him to stop he claims he can't help it and it must be a habit because he is not conscious of doing it except when I point it out to him. Also in public situations he will say anything no matter if we have told him before it is inappropriate, like talking about private body parts or telling someone they look stupid, or you look like somethings wrong with you (meaning mentally disabled). Could my son possibly have Aspergers? Is theree a test that we can have him tested?

Answer:Like you my son is also 10 we finally took him to a neurophsyciatrist in St. Louis Mo to Cardinal Glennon Hospital after a long grueling day they confirmed the diagnosis of Aspergers Syndrome he does some weird stuff too. There are many web sites and some reallly good films and videos available I found the best info came from him Dr. at Cardinal Glennon But I highly recommend you take you son to a neurophsyciatrist that is the only way for definitee diagnosis. There is also an originization that can test your son Judivine they specialize in Autisim. 573-339-9300that is the number in my area if you call them they will point you in the right diretcion in your area.

My Boyfriend Has Asperger's Disease. Help Please?

I just recently found out that my boyfriend has asperger's. I don't really know that much about it, except he does have ALL the symptoms when I look it up. Can someone help me understand it better, and how to cope with it? It's rathere confusing. He found out that he has had it all his life, and he's now 18. He just found out about it. How can I help him, along with myself understand it better?

Answer:I know you didn't mean it that way, but Asperger's isn't a disease. You won't catch it off of us. ;) But the symptoms vary person to person. Many times it hinders social interaction and causes someone to become obsessed with something and learning everything about it. I'm that way with old music, climatology/weathere, and obscure historical facts (for example, did you know that the battery was invented in 250 B.C., the fax machine was invented in 1843, and the VCR was invented in 1956?), and many othere things like that. But one thing different about myself than othere people with Asperger's is that I'm obsessed with looking nice (after realizing as a kid that I needed to care about my appearance, we're often reactionary like that, one extreme or the othere). I mean, I always wear a nice blouse, an ankle length skirt, and nice shoes anytime I leave the house and half of the time even at home. Only times I dress down are days where we're going nowhere and it's just time to realx (usually I wear a t-shirt with one of my skirts then) or if I'm going to be doing hard work (the only time I wear jeans). And as you can tell from this message, we're detail oriented. ;) Also, I love video games and cartoons/anime. I've tried writing fan fiction, but I get distracted too easily from it and want to start something new.
